Possible remake of movie "Battle of Britain"
« on: December 16, 2015, 12:42:40 PM »
This has been rumoured for a long while. Not sure myself that a new version would be any better than the original, not that that was perfect.

But my point is, I was surprised to read that several of the aircraft used in the '60s movie still exist and are to be restored to flying condition in California.

After the war, the Spanish seem to have continued where Messerschmitt and Heinkel left off.

Should be fun. And expensive.

Nah, it'll be cheaper, they can CG everything instead of flying real planes.

There will be a few real planes but the formations will for sure be computer aided.

Thank god that ISIS will never have anyone like Churchill that endures and comes out a victorious writer of history.

I'm cautiously optimistic that it won't get "The Great Escape" fantasy treatment.  :-\
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

It'll be like a video game....with an all-star cast.  :P

I predict some large flying models will be constructed.

I predict some large flying models will be constructed.

Those have been deployed for nearly two decades. Almost perfect, but I think they wiped out some  friendly (allied?) Iraqis targets recently.
