Bill,
I knew we were friends but I didn't think you'd go to all this trouble just to build an engine for me.  Thanks, man.  I really appreciate it!  ::)

Yes, I'll check centerlines and weight. Did that with 2500,2000,1500,1200,1000,600,500,400. ....and just a little Mother's mag and aluminum polish. And lots of finger polishing, no gloves, need to feel what you doing. Still not 100% finished but close. Just got through checking pistons, they good, but old cylinder has at least .007+ clearance. Going back as a regular Cobra now while I get crank magnafluxed and source cylinder or sleeves. Here's two pins out of two different 73mm kits, L 39g. R 44g. Sent my rods and Stage IV heads north today!  ;D,Bill

Is that just a matter of picture perspective or has that outboard hole for the 6mm been enlarged?

Putting in some long hours on this one Bill. Better to take your time and get it right the first go round. It's the little things that make horsepower. Just don't do that to the ports or anywhere behind those valves. Lol.

 Keep it moving bud.

The other side....got to be careful, no scratching of valve or seats! Yeh, I'm done til I get back from MBSC Friday.  Also going to wait on Mike and Stage IV head to come back , could run the Stage III,  but makes more sense to wait. This Is the Cobra head, getting new springs and retainers , seals, etc. Only two helicoils to do....and all 6mm holes will be helicoiled!  Keith , I'll check, pic does looks like it. The RC rods looked good, all small end bushings had no galling. The other RC crank all 4 were galled  bad.enough to replace. Crank also looks great, but going to measure when I get back. RC H/D rods being balanced by Master Zin and new H/D ARP bolts and nuts installed!  K.  :D New Cometic  .050 copper headgasket being installed and replace the old cut out paper basegasket with .014 metal one. .020 max, maybe .010, we'll see. New main and rod bearings, cam chain and primaries! Might just work if I can  keep the zip tie heads out of the combustion chambers! SMH, Bill

Bill,
That one's going to be too pretty to put back in for racing.  I think you should mount that bad boy in your house beside a light.  Shine it out the front window and have your own SOHC bat signal!
