Caliper rebuild
« on: December 22, 2015, 10:33:27 AM »
like the title says im rebuilding my bikes brake caliper. I have a 1979 cb650 and I broke down the caliper for inspection, clean, and paint and found that most of the seals are on their way out and need to be replaced. Ive done some searching for a re-build kit but have been unsuccessful. Does anybody know where i can get my hands on a rebuild kit for my bike?
Are there kits from other years/models that will work for my caliper? Thanks and as always your input is appreciated.

Z1 Enterprises, Partzilla, Parts n More, VintageCB750; they have what you need.
1976 CB550K            1979 XS1100
1980 CB650C - Sold

It's a little motor and likes having the tits revved off it.

You can get replacement stainless steel caliper piston from Wingovations. 20% off 'til year's end.

Thanks for the point in the right direction but I didn't find anything for my year specifically. Not unless other model cbs use similar gaskets and seals?

Parts and More has all the seals for the master cylinder and caliper (including the piston) for a 79 CB650.
