Well 1000 for a bike with no title is real steep

It looks clean, but I think I  heard they were a disappointment,

Maybe the 750, too.

the 750 was the real turd....but still, few have any love for that.   I actually had one for free, stole the 34mm frontend with dual disc available frontend for my RD and still sold the remains for $50 for the win. :D

A fellow I get many of my parts from had a beat up TX750 that he almost tried to give away ($100) with 2 spare engines to go along with it. I was a bit suspicious so I looked it up and found all the poor reviews it had an politely passed on the offer, I may have made some $ parting it out but I had too many projects going on at the time to mess with it.

Two of the worst bikes Yamaha ever made were the TX 500 and 750-the latter winning the title of worst hands down.  If you didn't strap the 750 down when it was running on your lift it'd try to walk off on its own.  Plus......................the bottom end had a tendency to seize ??? ??? ???  both models were way overengineered and most likely introduced before all the bugs were worked out. I did own a 500 for a year or so and the description mediocre fits to a tee....Larry

I had a chance to buy a very nice looking one, good chrome and low miles and I passed after reading how unloved they are.

Looks to be in suspiciously good shape for lacking a title...
