Wanted - side covers
« on: December 26, 2015, 08:49:51 PM »
WANTED for a gold 1971 CB750
Left and right sidecovers in gold. I'm not doing a inch-perfect restoration, just a nice sympathetic tidy up with new parts only for engine longevity and safety, and Id like to find a pair of original gold sidecovers if they are out there anywhere. They do not need to be perfect, just decent.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Al

Frankenbike who is a forum member makes stronger than original covers. I have a pair and they are well made and at a great price!

+1
They look the same but are of much higher quality and more difficult to break.  And the price is great as well.

I got two sets for K7s and they are excellent fitting, strong and have no blemishes. If I ever need more I'll go to them. They take paint easily and the company also supplies emblems. They fit as stock through the OEM rubber mounting.

Yes I am hopeful of finding a couple of decent, but still usable covers rather than going to all new with new paint etc.....my tanks is decent as are the headlight brackets.
If Im forced into new everything then thats a whole different game and cost with tank, headlight brakcets, side covers - up in Canader eh, thats $1000 big ones or more.....
Thanks for the input though, its appreciated.
