Greetings all!

I need some help here as a few of you members know more about these than I. This is for sale close to me and if the pictures match the bike it seems like a pretty good deal.

I know little about BMW motorcycles but a 2016 project is being considered. Also know where a R90S that "might" be available but at a much greater cost. (naturally)

Thanks in advance for any do's, don't, run away thoughts.

Yup. Belongs to the guy who bought my CBX. Going to contact him after first of year.

I think he told me 10K on the clock. I did check prices and WOW, I was stunned to say the least.

OK, working on looking at the bike. No reply, will see.

Looking at the pictures a few things seem odd. Appears to have Missiori plates. Defiantly not Vegas landscape. Rear rotor looks bad. Email reply appeared to be a copy and paste thing.

Will see where this goes. Could very well be a scam.

The thing is I'm selling this bike because my husband passed away not long ago (he was very sick) and this bike brings me bad memories and I really have no use for it and that's the reason why I want to sell it asap...I along with my daughter decided to sell the house and we moved to my parents in Oskaloosa, Iowa trying to start a new life. The bike is already at the shipping company in the container, sealed and ready for delivery. Is there already because someone agreed to buy it, but in the end he never got the loan. For this reason, the shipping is already paid.

When seems to good to be true tt it usually is.

Several years ago I ran across really nice CB750 at a very low price. Curious but cautious I contacted the seller by email. Shortly after I got a email back from the so called seller that was very similar to the one you just got back about the BMW.
I played along with the scumbag for a while and I guess he figured out what I was doing and stopped replying back to me.

I like that old Guzzi you posted but I know very little about them.

Guzzi is not only priced high for the condition it is missing the ignition switch, no mufflers, wrong seat, converted motor for propane and more. Most parts that I can find say "please call".

Out of my budget I'm afraid.

Converted to propane? Really? I've never heard of a motorcycle being converted to propane.
Why would anyone do that?

Thanks guys. I'm still trying to learn how these Germans labeled the model years and engine displacement.

Actually the R65 is fine for what I would use it for. No long road trips for me unless it was in my new car. In town and local towns is about it any more.

I'm just looking to pick something up, priced within reason and different. A bike to freshen up, tinker, keep hands and mind busy if you will. BMW motorcycles are not in stone with me it just seems there are more of them in my area or at least somewhat closer. No truck, no trailer makes it a little harder too.

I appreciate the replies on the BMW line as I know very little about them but always willing to learn.

Ummmm my R100RT had a factory kicker.. 80 or 81 that one was..
I think the 650 may tend to be priced softer..if he wants to try out a Beemer..
