1983 vf750 sabre front end on cb750 1975
« on: December 29, 2015, 06:11:43 AM »
Hi guys, I found a vf750 front end for cheap which comes with dual brakes, triple trees, tire, and forks. Was wondering if anybody knows if the tripple tree or forks from a vf750 is the same size as the cb750.

Thanks!

I have done one very similar  this. I pressed out the tube in the trees on both and used the cb tube in the Vfr triples.

Let me make sure I got this right, lol. You used the neck from the cb for the vf tripples that holds the fork tubes?

How did you press the vf tripples out of the neck? Up to this point I thought the whole tripple three with the neck was just one piece.  Had no idea you can separate it.

Umm look at your stock bottom triple tree, the weld around it is really easy to see..

It's going to be easiest to grimd that weld flat and then press it out. The vf stem is too long I am pretty sure?
