And given the strength of the US dollar to the Aus dollar, we can afford a whole bus load of Oz bimbos and still have money left over to buy quality Canadian beer that they can't afford.  Just saying... Its good to be in the 10%-

The money you'd waste trying to con our Aussie bimbo's to get on a bus full of bloody Americans would negate any possible benefit your US dollar has at the moment,  what also surprises me is that its not called the Yuan yet.... ;D :P ;)

Waste it because they aren't worth the toss, or because their standards are too high to get on with a US bloke?  ;) But you're right, the term dollar is quickly becoming nostalgic. Long live the Yuan! I wonder if the lefties in Hollywood will petition to put Jackie Chan on the first printing of the new american dollar?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

All chiding aside, he does do an awful lot of good for our Veterans after his time in office, so that earns him huge respect from me. I'll let the political analysis sit where it belongs, off air.  :)

I think the problem is that 51% of Americans can't afford craft beers or pole dancers? Just saying........... ;D

Craft Brewers refill Growlers for prices that compete with regular beer it's the pole dancers that really cost big dough.

I'm not sure what a "Growler" is, but there's a nice little micro brewery/restaurant in Canberra called "The Bent Spoke" (sadly it's bicycle themed, for some unknown reason) that will sell you a 2 litre insulated container to take away some beer to drink at home, which is a nice touch.

My favorite is their "Brindabella Cider", which was obviously meant for me as I work over in Brindabella Park. I go back to Canberra on Sunday, so I might have to ride over to the Bent Spoke for dinner after work on Monday. Cheers, Terry. ;D

But then again, if you've only got 10%, that's probably more than enough............. ;D

Terry,

Same but smaller. Growlers are 1 litre refillable bottles. Boston Growlers are 1/2 litre bottles. Both are welcome at ALL Craft Brewers.

Having taken R&R in Australia. Aussie women are straightforward and not that easy. Hookers are no challenge. Chatting up regular girls is an art. There is also in art not getting your ass kicked by the local guys.

Craft beers from these small local breweries is bringing America back to basics. Every City and large Town had a local brewery that put money in the local economy. Budweiser and the like basically wiped out the local brews.

i enjoy Bourbon and there are small distillers popping up in this region. Their product is not up to a Makers Mark, Buffalo Trace, or Blantons, etc, but they will get better.

The US is reaching a tipping point. The population is now pissed off and the politicians are starting to feel the heat.  I hear people quoting Donald Trump, they may not vote for him, but the message is getting out.

I was listening to the most Liberal, Left Wing, radio station in New York complaining that Congress authorized removing the Country if origin label from meat.   A trade Commission headed by a Mexican Judge complained the labels were unfair to the Mexican ranchers. Their attitude was "#$%* you" we have a right to know where our food comes from.

There is hope.

Growlers are 2 liter here, some use half growlers..

" bicycle themed , for some unknown reason.."

I will tell you the reason.. Last year i went for my first longish ride. (only been doing 8km hops ) 36 degrees C . Only one gear cluster worked.. There were hills, i went 25 km.. When I finished, I NEEDED BEER..

Have to ride about 250 km on a motorcickle.. And even then, I dont deserve beer as much as when riding pedalbikes.

Fcuk that Frank, push-bikes are for kids, when you're old enough to ride motorcycles you stop riding childrens toys, that's called evolution, I think? Children shouldn't drink beer, so bicyclists shouldn't be allowed anywhere near micro breweries.

You don't get any credit for riding a child's toy in 36 deg C temps either Frank, that should fall under Cal's "Foolhardy/No Sympathy" rule from the "How fast" thread, and I can tell you right now, if I ride my motorcycle 250 Km in 36 degree C temps, I definitely DO deserve a cold beer! ;D

I had to look it up. That is 96.8 real degrees  :)  As Terry said, it makes no sense since you have a perfectly good motorbike.  i vote for foolhardy.

Now hang on a minute Frank, you ride a bicycle in close enough to 100 deg F temps for 25 Kms (15 miles?) because you DON'T want a heart attack?

Ha ha, actually I like bicycles, I just don't like some of the dicks who ride them. I have the misfortune of working in close proximity to a big mouthed public servant who rides a bicycle to work every day wearing his skin tight lycra, who refers to himself as a "Biker". Every time I hear this I want to pick him up and throw him out the window, but I like my job (and my freedom) too much, so I just (just) tolerate him.

Bicycles can be turned into fun engine powered machines without too much effort, just buy a Chinese engine kit (because you can't buy a new American one) and throw it in, or if you want to go really fast (comparatively) install two! Cheers, Terry. ;D

This is some funny stuff Terry!  Australian hipster rides a Schwinn and calls himself "a biker".  Hilarious. Maybe you can ride a law mower to work and call yourself a farmer.  Better yet challenge him to a race in a Hyabusa powered picnic table.  That would be great.  Remember hipsters are a protected class and harming them is considered a hate crime.  I have plenty of H anti-body so I just find their antics humorous.

If you really want to take it to the next level get the same pair of skinny jeans, and a matching outfit and drive the same bicycle to work and have everyone address you as "biker".  Do that for a day or two and he will be forced to find a new persona an exact copy is strictly forbidden in the hipster creed.

Who knows he might be ridding a po go stick to work next!!!!  It is up to you Terry to save our good name.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
