mdmtnmotors, those pipes are available, they have just been hangin' around my shop and nobody really knows who they belong to.  They do have some serious issues...battery side did not just get a few drips of acid, it looks like a whole car sized battery exploded on 'em.  Both pipes on that side the chrome is ruined.  One pipe on the other side has small rust through and there is something rattling around inside.  Overall, they seem super solid.  I would love for somebody that can use these to have them.  I have no desire to own a stock K7/8.

Yes indeed that is a bit goofy hanging out almost past the tire.  Glad you talked me out of it! Thanks for taking the time and posting pics.  Is that an interceptor in the background?

there is also a frame mounted half fairing that goes with it, and rearsets and clipons too.  Nobody that has seen it likes the tailpiece, but I am gonna use it anyway, for historic preservation's sake at least.  The 750 Honda lettering is just stickers and was added by the previous owner.  I will be sure and do a project thread when I get into it.

The tank and seat helps bring it together a little. Some of the vintage aftermarket stuff is pretty cool, like the Corbin Gentry seat I found recently. Looks like the tail piece would accommodate a longer swingarm? Were you going to repaint?

As for the pipes, my travels take me up to Lima, OH a few times a year, maybe I could go a little further...

Yeah, there is certainly room for a longer swingarm, although I doubt that was intended in the original design.  Most of what your seeing is from camera angle.

I probably will have to repaint, as the fairing does not match and I doubt anyone alive is capable of matching that wild flake.  Also the color has darkened, but probably not under the lettering, and the lettering has to go.  I am thinking about coming up with a scheme to leave some of that gold flake.

Lima looks to be about 3-4 from Kalamazoo, and I could be persuaded to meet you halfway.  I will get you some pics.  Warning ya though, the acid damage is really ugly.
