Topic: Can't find a 1976 CB750F seat to save my life......

Trying to return a CB750F I picked up a few months back to its stock form. The one item that seems to be holding me up is the stock seat.

I have been watching ebay and craigslist with ZERO luck. Anyone have a seat in good condition or know where to get one?

I would even consider a seat cover to have the original replaced but not sure which ones to trust. This bike came with the "Honda" stenciled in on the back of the seat. I haven't seen any covers with this on it.

Corbin makes a Gunfighter seat. You'd need the tail piece and there is one on EBay for $13. There are covers available too. Can't tell you the source though.

I have one from a 77, been a while since I looked at it, but I believe its in decent shape. Its snowing like crazy here now, so it might be a day or 2 before I have a chance to dig it out but i'll get you a pic.

Don't buy the repro one from DSS. My plan was to buy that one and then use a stencil for the Honda logo, simple, right? Problem is the seat is not anywhere close to a bolt on part. The pan does not have the bolts to mount the rear tail section and other mounting points. The cover is glued on so pulling the cover to make the mounts may be a biatch and ruin the cover. I'm not quite up to the seat portion of my project but have been thinking it through beforehand, we'll see.
