Would this cause my bike to pop out of 4th?

Noticed the pins/dogs/whatever don't engage the corresponding gear very much.

I have a Yamaha XS1100 and this is a known problem to the second gears. The fix for the Yamaha is undercutting the dogs a bit, and sharpening the slots on whichever gear they bite in to. Not sure about the Honda transmissions (haven't put much research into it really) but something like my aforementioned fix might be helpful. Others might have a different opinion.
