Another VIN question-350F
« on: January 12, 2016, 09:19:39 AM »
i know this dead horse seems to have been beaten a lot, and i have spent a couple hours now searching for what i need without luck
I'm trying to register a bike that hasn't been registered in a eternity before starting work on it and need to be sure i get the year right
they are willing to make a new registration for me and i need to make up a affidavit and get it notarized. Not that i plan to sell the bike but if the info comes around in the future and i get it registered as the wrong year, i could see some hiccups coming about in the used vehicle information packages you get in Ontario

So....
i know its a 72 or 73 as its olive green, but there doesn't seem to be a good reference for the VIN on which year it actually is, and my VIN is  around the middle (went up to 107xxxx)
So, maybe someone out there can look at their VIN, and if they have a 72 and its a higher number than mine, then i know mine is a 72.  Or if they have a 73 and its a lower number than mine, i know mine is a 73
Thanks
VIN on the frame
CB350F-104xxxx

EDIT:
thanks flybox

I guess im stupid but when i found the VIN on the tube and engine i was under the assumption that was all there was for info on the bike

Build date January of 73, so as i guessed it was right in the 72-3 border area

Your frame plate should be stamped with the month/year it was made, as well as the VIN.
Check there.
My 350F was stamped 10/72 mfr date, but sold in the showroom as a CBO '73
