Electrical cable sleeve sizes
« on: January 12, 2016, 05:56:30 PM »
Hey all, i have to replace some of the sleeving on my Japanese market 1971 and want to keep the original harness and redo the sleeve. does anyone know what sizes i would use? I don't want to go off willy nilly and buy 10' of every size if I only need 1 or 2 sizes . im redoing the instruments wiring only. i am splurging on a new main harness.
Thanks
Al

You may not be able to match the stock sleeve size if the harness is already assembled.  You need to get the connectors through the sleeves. I'm sure that Honda put the sleeves on before crimping the connectors on.  Even trying to fish the bullet connectors through one at a time will require a sleeve larger than stock.

If someone has a different answer they'll probably need to know the displacement of your bike.  Japanese market is not enough info.

I don't know your sizes, but whatever sleeving you get, you can slit it all the way down, put it on, and zip tie it around your harness

1971 Cb750 with 7945 kms.
I receive the packet of Jap market decals yesterday and the new gauge faces and it looks much better already, even unassembled.....
