I plan to ride year round as long as there's no snow on the road itself, just not on my CB.

I found out last week that its tires dont do well at all in cold weather.  It was an unusually cold day for the time of year (mid 30's F) and going full throttle in third gear to make a pass was enough to kick out the rear and almost cause a fall.  There is some engine-off work that needs to be done anyway, so as soon as I got home I drained the carbs and put the bike up for winter.

I think I'll stick to CBR with its stickier tires and smoother response.

All I need is a fresh tire...
Which I plan on getting tomorrow
some good cold weather gear...
I'm gonna give a shot at making some heated apparel for as little $ as possible...
and some bomber wet weather gear...
I can get a deal on some Arcteryx Gore-Tex gear where I work

hmmm... maybe snow tires?
...or... tire chains?

I'll be home agian in May for a week or so, that gives me plenty of time to get the bike apart and:

Get the frame up to the painters for stripping, modding & repainting at his leisure
Get the motor & box to the engine guy for rebuild/mild tune
Get the tank & side covers to the other painter for some nice subtle airbrush work
Get the wheels to someone to rechome & rebuild.

By my caculations that will leave me with a couple of evenings for beers with my mates 8) one to take my wife out for a meal >:( and the saturday for my daughter's 21st birthday party 8)Which allegedly is the realreason or me going home in the first place ;D

Have I got the balance about right there? Or sch I fous my energies more on the bike?
