Worst yet.....is those dam automated phone political ads. I hate telemarketers........now they are using the same idea with political ads. Nothing worse than stopping in the middle of welding or working on a bike.....jumping up to run and get the phone.....then hear......"make sure to vote for...."

I will never purchase a product or vote for a canidate/issue that interupts me in the peace and quite of my own home via telephone. At least with TV.....you can change the channel....the phone messages piss me off!! >:(

I got one the other day that really pissed me off. The phone rings and I answer...Hello? Some gal with a megaphone voice comes on (a recording) BLAH BLAH BLAH DENNIS CARDOZA BLAH BLAH HIS ANTICS IN WASHINGTON BLAH BLAH.....I would have rather had one of those compressed air horn deals they take to ball games go off in my ear!!! It actually scared the #$%* out of me! I immediately pulled the phone away from my ear. The other one is Arnold Schwartznegger (Calif. Governor). That one is kinda funny though.......Thees is Awenod .....vote for me!!!!....I'll be bach!!!.........Phones do suck at times!!!

Have to say the robo calls for the politicians. I can't imagine what genious thinks they are affective. Getting 5-8 calls a day from some computer doesn't put you in a freindly frame of mind. I'd like to see a political do not call list in place before 2008. >:(

It's the same old.  A few years back, Washington freed us from most telemarketing.  But as Gomer would say, "Surprise!  Surprise!  Surprise!"  Look at whom they exempted -- themselves and nonprofits.  But now that the elections have passed, I can be sick of Borat.

You gotta go cell phone only.  Haven't had a single telemarketer call in over two years! :)

I am from the US and still have no idea what you are talking about....

Don't be too concerned mate, it's a common ailment. I like Borat, (much better than his alter-ego ALI-G) but as the movie only runs for an hour and 20 minutes, I can't decide whether to see it at the movies, or just rent it, as it takes me at least that long to work my way thru my "free upsized" Coke, Popcorn and ice cream cone.

I mean, whattya do if the movie finishes and you've still got all that stuff uneaten? You can't really take it with you, it's just not right! I went to the movies this week and saw "Flags of our fathers", a great movie for sure, very moving piece of old "pro war" claptrap probably financed by George W and "Dangerous Dick" Cheney, and directed by Clint Eastwood (who served his time in the military as a pool attendant) but the best part was it ran for two hours and 24 minutes! Woohoo! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I couldn't agree with you more. I have a phone in the garage and, sadly, it's the only one without the caller ID. And, they always seem to call when I'm out there... <sigh>

You can probably guess that I'm asking for a caller ID box for the garage for Christmas!

At least Borat isn't going to run for President.... think of the cheesy political ads we'd have then... oh wait, we already have cheesy political ads!  What was I thinking?  Must've been a blonde moment...

I'm shocked, shocked to find that Congress made a law and then exempted itself. ;)

So have you got a bladder the size of a bucket, Terry? How can you last that long without having to exit and take a pee.

Don't tell me you use the now empty Coke container....

You're supposed to exit? Damn, I though that's why they turned the lights down, so you don't have to? No wonder the guy beside me freaked out and moved! ;D
