Has anyone tried this primary drive rubber upgrage/fix? How well has it worked and is it recommended for a big bore build?

I have an extra hub that I'm willing to do try this IFF it is worth it for my 836 K3 build.

I sent my hub to Germany that did the job. No screws, they riveted the hub again.

Ship from/to USA will increase cost a lot so the DIY kit must be the way.

Thanks PeWe, that actually is a lot better option (half the price and no screws!). I will contact them (maybe Wobbly as well) to see if I can get mine done.

They sell the parts only  for 55 Euro.. I did not see any cost in the other thread.

I got a used complete K6 clutch today, shipped from USA. CB750 parts are constantly moving around the planet!
The basket seems to be very tight fitted around the splined hub axis. hmmm.. heat gun and convincing force...? I'll read my new reprinted CB750 shop manual...and the Hondaman book..

I asked for a price from the OP of that thread and its quite high. M3's is higher still, but I bet the rubbers are different too.

For that weight, international shipping won't be that much. However, if it is, feel free to send the part to my military address (zip 09180) with domestic USPS Priority Mail. I can then use German mail to send the part in, and return it to you by insured, domestic USPS mail.  PM if you need any kind of help. These guys do an excellent job. No gimmicks. The rubber is superior to the one Honda used, and it isn't 40 years old. The Germans know their business when it comes to these things. These parts, like some other hard-to-get parts, were made by a member of the German Honda CB Four Club. You get excellent work done. I do recommend them.

Thanks for the generous offer Wobbly! I have all the bearings out since I'll be replacing them with SKFs anyway, so it should be lighter still. I will find out about the shipping and PM you. Gotta love these forums!

Personally, I would run a used one if necessary before buying ANYTHING from that unscrupulous crook.

I have used several kits from http://honda60-70s.net/Pieces/23110-300-030_GB/23110-300-030_gb.html and they are first class. He is in France but his shipments are pretty fast.
