CB750 Four super sport - Police Special
« on: January 21, 2016, 02:11:51 PM »
Hi all I am new to the forum and the new owner of my first CB750  - I am hoping to find out some more info on the bikes production or history.

The bike I have purchased (red, photo attached) was ex-MOT (ministry of transport aka traffic police) here in New Zealand which makes the history un-searchable on the NZTA system beyond 1985 when it was purchased by a private owner. It is registered as a 1980 CB750 PS, but it looks more like a 1975 CB750F.

I am expecting the bike to arrive on the transporter next week so for now I only have the photos from the auction which are not too good. I cannot confirm the frame number but the transport system here lists it as : 1040959 and engine number as CB750E2563460

I found only one similar bike online after a pretty extensive search (white bike).  Unfortunately there is no info to accompany the photo at the website I found it.

I've been pulled over by a few of those so I don't have fond memories of them. :-) On the other hand they were pretty reasonable to talk to, maybe because I was on the same bike.
71 or thereabouts 750 K1 - this one should have been put down
