Comstar Wheels ?
« on: January 21, 2016, 05:45:34 PM »
I restored a 79' CBX many years ago.  Have left over stock front end ( comstar wheel, brakes, forks, etc. ) and rear costar wheel assembly with brake.

Has anyone ever used these F/R pieces on their K' Model CB 750's ? Have a 74' CB750 K4 and was just curious  ??? :-\

Found this Picture on the Forum.  Don't know if person is using stock 750 forks or swing arm ?

It was not hard, it jsut took me forever since I had to rebuild the head too.

Appreciate the response  :)  Your Bike looks really Cool !  I believe I have all the axles and spacers F/R from my prior CBX project if they are needed ?  Also, the rear brake hardware from the CBX, do you know if that will fit ?

It looks like you may be using different Front forks for the brake set-up ?

Do you have anymore pictures of your bike with the Comstars ?

Thank you.

The front fork and wheel and brakes are from 1978 Cb750 Supersport.

I modified the frame to hold the rear MC and also the original brake pedal - details and more pictures are in my project.

Edit:  The rear MC is from 2003 Honda 900 something, they are used on many later bikes and they are plentiful and cheap on eebay.

you can use the '79F / CBX parts as long as the bike you are putting them on it '77 or newer. The '76 and earlier have a narrower output shaft on the engine so the rear wheel/sprocket does not line up.
