Is this a Yamaha Shelby Dowd Pentagram Wheel???
« on: January 22, 2016, 05:37:43 PM »
Took this off a TX500 several years ago.  What info I found leads me to the conclusion it is either a Shelcore or Shelby Dowd Mag Yamaha option available back in the day. I don't remember.   Any thoughts?  ...Larry

Yes. But it's marked 650 or 750. The 500 had a different hub offset and they're not a direct swap for the larger bikes.
That brake disc looks a little small for a 650. What's it measure?

10 1/2..  I removed it from a TX500 because the owner wanted matching wheels(that was on the front and a spoke on the rear).. He wanted spoke front and rear.  Also, the TX had a pair of Dunstalls that he wanted replaced with stock.  He allowed me to keep the take-offs. Thanks for chiming in...Larry

I have a front and rear for the 500, including the rear disc  master cylinder, caliper and holder. He can have a matching set of Star mags and front and rear discs!

Job was done 5 years or more ago.  I gave the exhaust away.  Since I'm selling off most stuff I do not use, the wheel will be available.  Thanks for the input...Larry
