The One Show bike had a similar set up.  Pretty cool solution for cleaner looking bars.

You use a Cable to remote master cylinder , under the tank, in the fairing, or on the fork leg are a few places folks put them .Btw Eighties Beemers and Kawi Z1R. Used remote front master cylinders.
 The bike in the pic has the brake cylinder and throttle inside the bars, but that is guite difficult to do.
I've always liked the looks of those 'reverse-styled' brake and clutch levers.  However, it would seem like it would be a little less natural to grab than the traditional style.  And when I'm grabbing for brakes for an emergency stop, I want it to be as easy to grab a handful of brake as possible.  But that's just me being overly cautious, perhaps.

Do you mean for a mounting system to attach it to the cognito triple, the bar bends, or a custom fork tube clamp setup?

as 754 stated, drilling holes (not all the way through) on the bottom of the triple and blind-tapping them would be how I'd mount to the top triple....but if you would rather make some type of clamping system that clamps to the fork tubes below the top triple which would hold the bars, the headlight, and the gauge.....make up some drawings and I can see about manually milling it up out of a chunk of aluminum.

its the old BMW system..hide the marster under the tank..and have vire pull to aktivate it...it make it all komplikated and unsafe..bit make the" looks smart" effekt

I think your right about BMW. My buddy's R50/5 has no MC on the bars either.  I'm not sure how it makes the bike unsafe though, just a little more involved to service.

My '74 R90 has the remote reservoir. Worked a treat. Can't for the life of me understand a thought of less safe??? Speculation at best in my book. In fact, its not really much different to modern reservoirs thats are plumbed to the MC by short hoses. I don't hear anyone describing them as unsafe.  ::)

Lots of factory bikes have this setup, including the Yamaha Seca 750.  I might actually look for one of these OEM units and give it a go before I spend up for the new unit thats $100+

EDIT: It is very common to have a MC to a single rear disc setup on most bikes... is there a reason that I could not just take a rear MC and use it on the front of my bike?

depends on bore size of the master. needs to be able to move enough fluid for the caliper to be effective. Rear calipers are typically small single pistons.

In My extremely "un-professional" opinion, I would think that as long as the mounting system is solid and the bore of the M/c is correct for a single caliper/disk , I would think it should work alright??

Yes I'm leaving mine bare.  Everything has its downsides, paint chips and flakes and powdercoat can do the same over time.  I don't mind the look of aging metal and with the sprays and treatments to bring back the finish i am comfortable keeping it looking nice.

Not to be a wet blanket, but powdercoat is extremely durable and stain resistant.  You will have to be vigilant to inspect your engine and clean up your mess if you have oil, gas or grease accumulate on it.  Once it cooks on, it is a more difficult stain to remove.  That said, if you are the meticulous type, you should be just fine.

Good powdercoating shouldn't "nick and scratch" unless you hit it with a hammer, must be some #$%*ty powdercoaters out your way.... :P

rocks on the freeway can be a #$%*.  My family friend built a trailer, powder coated it, then a week after he finished it, the leading edge got chipped up after hitting a patch of loose gravel, got wet and the moisture spread under the powder coat.  He stripped it down to the metal then painted it.

Not saying that is all that common or going to happen on my bike, just saying that is one attribute of powder coat I don't love.
