The boat guys have a spray on fluid to waterproof their electronics. It is not the cheapest stuff in the world but, it protects the stuff even when fully immersed.  Now recovery when you splash one, if that is possible is another ball of wax.

Be careful with it Blac... It would be good to make sure you have enough liability insurance to cover you, you don't want to find out the wrong way. Joining AMA would be a good idea as well. Do not forget to register with the government and get your number that you must affix somewhere on the drone. Same regs apply to RC aircraft above a certain weight as well. Have to register as a pilot with the government. There is a small fee involved with it. You do not want to be challenged by a local police officer who then fines you for operating it without the registration.
They are cool devices, seen and heard of some really boneheaded moves by people who have done really unsafe things with them and hurt someone or themselves with them.   Not that you would do that.
Enjoy the drone. DJI has developed a great product and it will become a very... expensive hobby if you let it.  Don't forget to save for retirement while you are young... The money won't compound before you retire to give you the high yields because you will not have amassed the amount needed to start paying larger returns...

It is registered with the FAA and all that good stuff.

I dont see drones being an expensive hobby other than repairing/replacing mine if i lost it. Im not interested in it other than having a 4k camera to fly around while I am vacationing in Iceland in a couple months, but I hear where you are coming from, lots of guys with tons of coin rolled up in these.

I only spend a small part of my cash on toys, not everything gets the attention and financial commitment that my cb550 gets ;) I'm very financially conservative and have already begun investing my cash into mutual funds, Vanguard index funds and have found a couple nice corporate debt deals backed with PG's on them returning 18% interest... I wish I could find more of those...

Got some pretty parts in the mail..  ;D

Monoshock came in from Racetech. I couldnt be happier with it!  I havent ridden on it obviously but it sure does look the part until then..

They weren't sure if they could put ride height adjustability on it because of how short it is, but they made it work and it looks great!

Of course I had to bolt it up..  ;D

I like how you didn't mess around but took your rolling chassis to experts at Race Tech and got it properly sorted. Looks great.

What a freakin' weekend...

So I turned 30 this weekend on the same day that we happened to have the largest event (by far) for the company I helped start.  We put on a show at the AT&T Stadium benefitting charity and featured Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, The Band Perry and Demi Lovato.  I didnt know until the morning of, but our CEO wanted me on stage in front of ~20,000 people to speak about our partnership with the Make-a-Wish Foundation... Talk about adding stress on top of stress on top of stress.

All in all it went well and I am SO happy it is over. I just hope my hair stops turning grey now..

Now that months of sleepless nights can come to an end, it's time to start focusing on the bike build =)

Bryan,

Congratulations! I am so old that I don't recognize any of those celebrities/entertainers' names except Lovato (only because my better half mentioned her once or twice).  Well done on supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, too.

Enjoy your thirties.  Everything (including youthful metabolism) still works great.  I have the first of my grey hairs but I'm 49!!

They say, "You never forget your first..." I remember mine. Happened on July 17, 1994. Less than 12 hours after I got married. Damn, I wish I hadn't been drunk the night before I might still be a strapping blonde  >:(

Bryan,
Very disappointed you didn't get on stage and tell Lovato, "I know what my one wish would be.....".  Just saying!

Oh yeah, congrats on officially being young!

Hey man, great job on this build so far! I appreciate your attention to detail and the craftsmanship you exhibit with/through your photography. Congrats on 30! I'll be there in a few months myself... It's going to be hard to top your experience, but I am up to the task!  ;)

I've got a CB650 I've been wrenching on, and this is inspiring me to post my own progress and have the whole community tell me to spend all of my money!

I finished up the welding and got pretty close to where I want to end up on working the monoshock hoop into the stock swingarm.
