I looked quickly & I don't see any tensile rating for that big dollar offering!! Lower friction is a good thing. I use EK 520SR on my race bike. It's cheap and I replace every year. I also remove & clean and relube after every race. Always look for a good tensile rating, but modern 520's are more chain than we need for our piddly HP bikes.

It's rated at 9,400lb tensile.

Understand I am under no illusion that this chain will work miracles, or that there weren't better deals out there  I just really liked the look and how light it was.  No reason to start half assing things now haha

Wow that's quite a chain. Just imagine what the rating for a 530 chain back when the 750's were new! Then Honda used that giant 630 which still would have been much less than 9200. Lighter, less friction and higher tensile strength a bargain at twice the price!

the 530 version is rated at 11,400!

My search for rear sets has finally come to an end.  I didn't like how far out the Tarozzi levers flared out and the flat ones were basically impossible to track down, but I found these from TEC, they are inexpensive but look like they have a nice build quality.

I will update y'all once I get them bolted up, but so far so good for just over $100

They look good.

The concern is that the toe peg is well inside from the heel peg knurl. This may require you to be "pigeon-toed" to shift. You may need to space out the toe peg so you can reliably catch it during spirited driving.

There's no law, or anything else, stopping a riders boot from being over the peg pivot! Then you could even shorten the pegs.

Ya, I was nervous but watched lots of youtube reviews and read lots of forum posts about them and only heard good things, so worth a shot!  They are a British company, and their priced on their euro site are even cheaper (but they don't ship to the US from there)

For the price, not a bad bike to keep as your "vintage" until the custom is complete.  You should not lose a dime when you sell it.

Yep I'm going to rebuild the carbs, and put some elbow grease into it and should be able to ride it for 6 months and make $500 on it.  It was a good find.

We agreed on a price then another guy called him offering him more but the seller gave me yesterday to buy it then it was the other buyers.  So already could make money on it

That's the best kind of deal! Congrats. It'll also give you appreciation for all of the upgrades your putting into the project build.

I'll take that bet! I am sure you will appreciate the stocker, but with the work in your 550 and the mule in your stable, you'll happily move that stocker along to a purist while you blaze on your custom and warp time on your RR.

Speaking from experience, I love my stocker for putting around, but am acutely aware of all of its weaknesses.
