I have made very little progress on the monoshocker, but I am getting back into it soon.

I am still in 'engine jail', but I should get the frame mostly finished this month.

It's getting crowded!
If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's an electrical problem... If it's an electrical problem, it's Cal's problem.

Okay, while you are waiting for new Duc belts, is this engine back on the front burner?

Okay, while you are waiting for new Duc belts, is this engine back on the front burner?

I have the 126-20 cam, now I just need the hard welded rockers. I think Im going to do with Dynoman for them instead of Megacycle, the price is about $65 each vs $95+ with Megacycle  :o

I can see why! They add up!  I doubt there's any compatibility issues, but more sage people can otherwise chime in.

I have read too many people complaining that the slack on the blake lines leading to and from the MC give it a really sloppy feel... Im hesitant on going this direction, so I think I will probably just bite the bullet and get a Beringer set up

Only made a LITTLE progress on the monoshock bike today.  I bought all new OEM hardware and grommets and installed them to the Intake manifolds that I had vapor blasted by Nils and port matched by the great MR

Check with Mike R as JMR sells cams & hard welded rockers to go with them and might be able to give you a better price on it than you have at Megacycle or Dynoman or Webcams.  He can sell you the MLS head gaskets on the 550 and if there is a MLS for the 650 he is likely to be able to source it for less as well.

He has a daughter in college just like the others most likely...
or a boat paument like them...

Mike does get a price break (generally) with his vendors.  I got my Megacycle hardweld rockers and 126-20 cam through him.  He, of course, does kick-a$$ head work!!

Yep, I have talked to him. Even with the price-break it is significantly more than what dynoman sells their rockers for at retail.  Im not too excited by the prospect of spending $800+ on rockers  :-[

Ah darn, well I got 8 clamps and 4 grommets for $70 shipped, so I didnt do too bad.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's an electrical problem... If it's an electrical problem, it's Cal's problem.

Just finished going through this thread. Serious eye candy here. I hope one day I'll have the finances to support a build like this, definitely no cut corners anywhere here! Keep up with the progress.

Thanks Marissa!

I will be back at this project later this month. Remodel and other project bikes have been taking up my time  >:(
