Front end

I just bought a 76 550. this is my first bike so I don't really know much yet. I'm wanting to do a chopper build and I was wondering if any front end will fit. I was thinking about getting a springer or just extending the front end a little. Any suggestions?

A lot of springers setup for 1 inch stems. Like HD..
To find a bolton for yours is harder to find or you have to swap stems..probably require getting one made.
