And one more cb 500 90 pct finished :)
« on: December 02, 2015, 09:56:44 AM »
So once again a cb 500 Four from 1975. Actually with a frame number that is only very few numbers apart from the other :). Quite a coincidence , but both were registered in same part of the country. ( southern Denmark.) So i guess maybe they come from the same dealer. One were sold in juli 75 and one in sept 75.

Just missing the exhaust , waiting for it from Holland.  -- What to do meanwhile ... :)

Very nice.  Did you do a complete restoration or was the bike (sans tank) in that condition when you got it?  Some "before" and progress photos would be great!

Well. :) i bought 2 bikes.. One registered and one without papers ,  they were really not so very fine at that stage. See photos :)  then made it into one bike :)

This time i did not take so many photos of progress.

Thanks for your comments :)

Re: And one more cb 500 90 pct finished :) TIME FOR UPDATE
« Reply #8 on: February 05, 2016, 01:50:03 AM »

Now Im waiting for the last parts :)

- Then the collection of cb 500´s from 1975 should be complete :)
actually all VIN´s are almost identical on these three,- sold in denmark from juli to october 1975. VIN number´s  in the range of max 200 from each other. Two of them only 5 numbers apart from each other .  Quite a coincidence actually.

sent a 4-1 laser exhaust + 4 original exhausts hm 323 + front & rear fender + front fork ears for re-chroming at Ashford chroming in Kent England .   Hope to get it back soon, have waited a month now.
When recieved back , it will all go on .

Paintjobs done by 2 local guys,- two with real candy paint  plus one with metallic +flake. I really like the flake job :)

The flake honda i had never had started before yesterday, was a mess when i bought it .  have been completely gone trough the last few months with new gaskets etc.  It turns out to have yoshimura cam and ported heads and big bore cylinders. But yesterday i tried to fire it up,- (without exhausts)  and it fired right up just after 20 cranks!!)   I have big expectations to that one :)
enjoy photo :)
