Malcolm is not so fast on his feet, but he's still got "it" on a bike.

Have never met him, but been a big fan of his ever since seeing OAS when it first came out in 1971 I believe. I hear he is a super nice guy to. I was watching a vintage motorcycle auction on tv not long ago and I saw a man sitting in a wheel chair and the thought that came to my mind was that looks alot like Malcolm Smith. Must not of been though if he is still riding.

Yeah asked him so Malcolm we have allot of trails being closed by the tree huggers.
What do you think about that?
Malcolom: looked left, looked right, and said: I don't ask, I put my head down and go through.
He is my inspiration: When I was doing Baja I was getting real tired, wonder if I could make it.  I started shouting Malcolm It Malcolm it, do it do it, Yeah !!!

I bought the 3 DVD set on amazon long time ago. By far, the best one is the original On Any Sunday.

In the second or third DVD Smith takes a laugh about a fan going to see the original movie on the 25th anniversary. The fan came with a Young kid -can't remember wether his son or grandson- who was also a fan of the original movie. When they took to salute Malcolm Smith and get an autograph, the kid said something as : "no no, I want Malcolm Smith, not his grandpa"

No substitute of the original OAS Raul that's for sure. In Malcolm's prime it wasn't anything he couldn't do on a motorcycle. He was the best and has the trophies to prove it.
