I'm not sure if you already know this, Sdsbassist, but the fork lowers for K0 through K2 were different than K3 through K6, and the brake parts don't interchange, so watch out for that.
The main difference is the mounting bracket that connects the caliper arm to the forks, and the caliper arm itself. The calipers are different also. Wheels, rotors, and master cylinders IIRC all interchange between early and late through K6.
So you'll want to be looking for K0 through K2 forks, or get later forks that include the brake system.
The fork uppers are different on the K0-K2 than the later years, also. That's partly why I was interested in these, extended forks for later models can be bought off-the-shelf but the earlier extended tubes would need to be special ordered.
