Speaking of Front Ends...

Hey guys. There is a GL1000 front end with some goodies available not too far away. I would consider it, but I have a few questions about the swap.

1. Will my K5 front fender fit it?

2. Will my K5 Rotor fit it?

3. Will the all new All Ballz bearings I just installed for the stock forks/stem fit it?

If 2 OR 3 are no, then I'm not gonna bother with it and just get some new tubes and progressives for my stock forks.

why would you need to fit your k5 rotor? assuming it comes with the wheel?

It even has a fork brace...  Bearings should be exactly the same...

Well, I guess the rotor isn't necessarily a no-go but I had mine ground and drilled and was hoping to use it. Totally didn't even realize the GL was a dual disk. That'd be an awesome upgrade for sure. I shot the guy some texts to let him know I was interested. If it isn't gone by the time the feds give me my money back I'll pick it up and do the conversion.

Rotors on that have different offset and dia than stock cb 750 6bolt rotors.. Same hub as 750 though.

Someone should buy it if you don't. That's a sweet front end, full dual disc with M/C , rebuilt and a fork brace. Aluminum rim too.

If you are interested you might not want to wait that long. Someone else did all the work for you and you couldn't replicate that setup for that money.

The front fender won't fit, but sell yours and buy a gl1000 fender. I got mine for $25 shipped off ebay and the only scratches were on the parts you'll never see because they face the engine.
