I am happy to report on a few things.

1) Packaged very well, no damage. Took longer to cut up the boxes for the blue can then it did unpacking the pipes.

2) Perfect! I was concerned about the amount of time involved but after a few emails I discovered that these are made to order. Not sure where but these are not a in stock item. CMS told me they refused one side for quality control. Sankei pipes.

3) No heat wrap Steve-o, the real deal. Cost was around $230.00 more than chrome Kerkers.

4) Received the left exhaust cover, need right side. Might not ever find one.

Correct in every detail.

Sure does! I ordered some other stuff but thought $60 was fair enough given the size of the box. Four days from the Netherlands. Shipped on Friday, arrive on Monday.

Exhaust was $242 per side plus $26.47 for the left exhaust cover. (US dollars) The black Kerkers, which I would of ordered, come in at $311.95 on flea bay.

Just made more sense to put the monies towards these. Glad I did, should really pop with the

paint.

Good choice. Sankei made pipes for Honda too, have one [4 into 1] on my '76 550F.

Couldn't be happier.

With new exhaust cover. Think I just found a new right side exhaust cover which would complete the exhaust. I'll hold off mounting right side for now.

Waiting on paint!

$18.75 shipped off fleabay. The elusive right side exhaust cover!

Touch and go since the seller wasn't sure which side it fit. Add to that the auction picture showed the cover still wrapped in OEM packaging and the part number changed in ink.

I looked close and rolled the dice. Glad I did. It is correct!

Been away for a bit. Just returned from Phoenix mid week. Other half lost her transplanted pancreas. Had to take her down to save the hoops you go thru locally. Good thing I did, was very ill. Longest four plus hour drive I ever did. All things getting stable now if there is such a thing anymore. Six days in Phoenix Hospital with follow up visits here.

I did get around to fitting the right side exhaust before the heat. Man, I have had enough! It's friggen hot.

If you wait three months to paint five pieces things will get moved and will get misplaced. With the other half issues I just didn't have the spare time for progress reports. Wasn't a priority.

Weather will cool shortly, I want my fricken parts! I did see a side cover, which needed the clear coat polished a little more. Color really pops!

My friend Dennis has had my carburetors since February. Guess we can get to those someday too!

I'm in a similar tt, with my K3. Painter has done minimal in 2 months. i stopped by to see progress but nothing but talk.

Me: I've picked the color.
Painter: Good, what is it?
Me: Honda Formula Red.
Painter: I have a quart of Viper Red, look...
Me: No, too "orangey", I want Folmula Red.
Painter: Whatever!
Me: Can we shoot to get this done by end of month?
Painter: Hahahahaha

As far as something other than Viper Red it's just finding the code and mixing the paint. No need for a "whatever" comment on his part. I told mine what I wanted and he said "I'll just mix some up right here. No need to buy."

I would like my parts shortly after Labor Day. Will see but this is way to long waiting for paint.

Would it help if you brought the dude a case of beer to kind'a oil the gears and get your job rolling ?

HA! I've been thru a dozen bottles and still no painted parts. It is a good plan however.

Think I'll pour another while we are on the subject.

Good painters are an interesting breed. It's difficult to find one with talent, who delivers on time consistently.

As a painter myself, you're getting jerked around..horribly. Your paint job is a seriously easy project. Any painter worth his salt should've been able to do it in a couple of weeks even at a lazy pace.

The Viper red, though, is a great choice. It's such a beautiful color, and usually runs $150...a pint. It's got a brilliant pearl effect in the sunshine. Any red is going to be pricey, though. It's thee most expensive pigment on the face of the planet.
