I guess it's just the "new paint" syndrome Steve.

Thanks for the link.

OK, paint work done! Picked this up today before the Holiday weekend.

Should look killer.

Inside painted flat black, need to wipe it down a bit and get this mounted up.

Same, PR4.

Could be the lighting and time of day. I'll uncover the bike tomorrow and take a closer look.  ;)

Worked quite a bit on mounting the cowl. Brackets were bent involving quite a bit of tweaking. Used parts I suppose.

Still needs some fitment work.

Trying to figure out how in the heck you would wire the turn signals. Wires in the bucket are not long enough to reach outside.

-You have to mount the headlight before the cowl otherwise you have no room to tighten the headlight mounting screws.

-Can't wire the turns with the headlight mounted.

Might have to make up some leads, will see.

tt,
When you get'er all together will it be time for the first ride ?

Who knows? I have been so busy with the other half's medical issues, follow up appointments, usual appointments, house work, shopping I haven't even put fresh fuel in the Ducati.  Haven't taken a ride since last June or so. Don't foresee one anytime soon either.

Add to that, still waiting on carburetors.  ;D

Rumor has it that carburetors will be done this Saturday. Plan on helping as it's been way to long.

Will see.

Hope the carbs are wrapped up soon so that you may enjoy riding it some before it becomes blazing hot out there.
It likely very hot already.
Tease your carb guy that he is suppose to do jobs like this for helping cover any taxes he might owe.

A good friend of mine that at one time had a Honda motorcycle dealership. He runs a very busy garage that his father started and only does side work on Saturday.

I was so busy last year with the other half I just didn't worry about them. Only got hot for them in the last month or so. Things are as normal as can get at the moment and we are just about finished getting her on the transplant list for a kidney.

I will keep this in mind Niles. Thank you.

Nope, sitting on lift for 14 months now. Just need carburetors.

I did sell the Ducati to a female in Scottsdale, AZ a couple of weeks ago. She sent a nice down but has yet to pick it up. I have only rode it 25 miles since last June. Was just to busy as you know.

I was happy to get big money for the year but the bike speaks for it's self. Just down to the Suzuki.

I guess good things come to those who wait.  ::)

I received an email from flea bay listing a part number. What the heck is this? Don't remember anything. In March of 2016 I had set up notifications for some hard to find parts specific to this model one of which were carburetor diaphragms.

In the past I had contacted many Web sites only to be told "rare as hens teeth" and the only place was CMS in the Netherlands. I wasn't about to spend $177.00 each plus shipping but would roll the dice when rebuilding. Pretty easy to change out after a rebuild which is suppose to be tomorrow.

Seller only had two, purchased both for $145.00 shipped out of Germany.

Very fortunate. Good things come to those who wait? It did this time.

Especially for a two year model run before going to 425 cc. Valuable parts to say the least. Great find.
