Build is getting a little more difficult. Although I had quite a few OEM parts for a rebuild but additional parts were needed. I found two of three but the third one was obsolete, NLA, just no where to be found. Trust me, I looked.

Last resort was flea bay. WhooHooo, one popped up! Really? Are you kidding me? Why not go there first? Well, I couldn't buy it fast enough.  Carburetors are apart and cleaned.

Fuel rail between the carburetors. Mine was shot, rubber gone. Lucky again. Now I wait on parts.

You can find many good deals on Ebay as a buyer,but lately the seller part of it isn't doing so good.. I'm just 'small time'.

Nothing against them as the CBX had one. I have read on the SUZUKI they could be problematic especially if you forgot to turn the petcock.

I replaced with a Pingle buried somewhere in this thread. Last summer I believe. I took the carburetors down in February, 2016. Wasn't in a hurry until first of March this year mostly due to the other half being on a even keel.

Getting everything ready and buying some 100LL gasoline tomorrow. With the heat right around the corner I don't want any fuel issues while the bike sits.

Boy, been awhile out in the Shop.

Gathered up the new parts..



In another post new manifold holders along with O rings and Allen head SS bolts.



Mounted carburetors and new vent lines.






New air cleaner tubes with front clamps and rear spring clamps. Had to partially remove the air box, quite a job. Everything is such a tight fit.

Everything is new OEM from the head to the air box.





Next will be the overhead IV bottle and fire it up with 100LL aviation fuel.

Diaphrams arrived from Germany but will stay in the house. Fun to look at different postage stamps.

14 months albeit life issues in the way it's done and running great. No test ride but beautiful on the lift.

Only issue now is the tachometer lags and is reading slow. I had a new cable on it, swapped it out with the old one and it still lags. Will see what happens when I ride it.

Color will pop more in the sun so I'll post later.

Yup, in the plans. Soon. Had a great April here, sure you did also.

Not sure of the tachometer issue as I thought it worked before teardown. It's not the cable, sure it's not the gear in the head. Must be in the unit it's self. Hoping a ride frees it up.

Could be the dampner fluid is running low/leaked out most of it causing the issue.

It is a gorgeous example that I would bet has few its equal.

Scottly is going to the Reunion, maybe he would have room for a 2nd bike on his trailer, or if your trailer has room for 2 bikes you could ride with him and then you both could trailer it to the Reunion.  He is towing his bike with his truck. He is bringing his Seeley and his grill along with other gear...Scottly is East of you a few miles... You could share the travel expenses.
But, if your lady friend is going too, then you would both need that room to ride separately...
Not sure if any cabins or other accommodations other than camping are available but, if so, need to reserve soon to get one.
Camping cabins have electricity but no cooling or other amenities the deluxe cabin would...

The CBX would be a welcome sight too. But the Suzuki would be nice to see, as Danny suggested.

Thanks for the invite Bankerdanny.

A good plan David however I am the caregiver with the other half doing Perotineal Dialysis each evening. Twice a month appointments. One for blood work and general well being with the PD nurse, the other with the Doctor. Add to that once a month I order all dialysis supplies for the next month. Two weeks later the delivery truck arrives.

With other appointments plus daily life, I don't have time for much. Once she gets a kidney transplant then it would be more doable and a lot of fun I would imagine.

That would be a fun get away...for you both. Unfortunately it isn't possible given the medical constraints you guys are dealing with...

What a hoot! Reminds me of the CB350F I had albeit two more gears. Only adjusted the clutch and it runs just great. Enjoyable, completely.

Slowly it inched to the door..

Project Suzzie is finished. Ducati leaves late next week. Lazy summer ahead it appears.
