Rims back from powder coat . New stainless spokes and I sand blasted the rotor and repainted the center. Pretty happy with it. Another small step... Need to order the seals for the front forks and I suppose it's about time to get some tires as well.

Probably so. I have a set I bought for a dead project but I am afraid they are not what I want/need

It's an Italian bike, so needs Italian tires, get some Pirelli Sport Demons! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hah, I keep telling everyone about the guy in Australia who says I will ride it one day a year. This thing is nickle and diming me to death. I think there are more vintage ducati part suppliers in Australia than in the states so Bevel Heaven is my only predictable, comprehensive parts supplier. Really nice guy that runs it though. I suppose I have become spoiled buying cb750 parts. I can get them here or ebay or dig through my own stuff. Worst case scenario I order re pop stuff from one of the many suppliers. That is not the case with this thing. Parts are far from plentiful and definitely not cheap. I doubt I will do another one of these should the opportunity present itself.

Tires mounted. Used some avons I had here. That saved me about 250. These are dunstall pipes. They were a bit long with the crossover but without it I think they look better. The crossover is also quite nasty. I may run it for a while without and see what I think. And yes, that's a zip tie holding it in for now. I will put two on before I ride it. Safety first....

That is looking sweet, it's a pity you can't ride it without the body work! ;D

Hopefully I have all of that back this week. I took a gamble on paint and am getting something that's going to be love it or hate it. I have too many black and white or red bikes. I wanted something different this time. We will see..

My nephew did the paint. His first attempt at dry flake paint. I think it turned out pretty decent. The gloss is not great and it has a very noticeable texture. Don't know if I will leave it forever or paint it next year but for now this is what it's going to look like. The front fender is also horrible. I think they made it so they could put a 19 under it if they wanted. I may see if I can find another fender it fender brace and just make something. I don't think I could make it any worse.

Looks good! Hows it running?

I bought a K5 a few years ago, came with a fresh rattle can paint job with a lot of orange peel. I liked the color and wanted to go with it. We block sanded it to get out the peel, shot it with clear and buffed it, came out looking like a pro job. Just a suggestion.

I wish I could do that. The flake is so thick and the color is on top of the clear. If we wet sand it we will go through the color showing silver flakes. It was a learning process. I still have not started it. I would say 1 week till then.
