Yep I'd love to build a CB750 chop, as Per says, the CB750 engine was (and still is, IMHO) a really nice looking engine, and back in the day there were some beautiful 750 chops out there. I like the new Indians too, I was all set to buy the basic Chief model in 2015 when my little Subaru gave up the ghost and I had to take out a lease on my big fancy SUV to do my 1000 mile per week commute, which is very nice too, but I'd rather have the Indian.
I'm lucky though in that I own several "V" and "L" twins, so I can still hear that lovely bark when I want to, and anyway, my Triumph Rocket III is (IMHO again) the most awesome "Power Cruiser" out there, and neither the biggest Harleys or Indians will get near it, with it's 2.9 second 0-60 acceleration. The problem here is getting a chopper legally registered. Unless it's built to "Australian Design Rules" (ADR's) or an old one that's been previously registered here in Oz, it has to be inspected by an engineer, and in some cases "tested to destruction" before an engineer will tick the box.
I'd love to import one of the Cyclex chopper or trike frames, but it might all be for nought if they don't come with a VIN tag and a title, as imported bikes have to have both before they can go on the road here. Of course I could just swap a plate from one of my other CB750's on to a chopper when I want to go for a ride, but I'd be in a world of hurt if I was in a crash, as once it became obvious that the plate was off another bike, I'd not be covered by personal accident insurance, I'd have to pay for the damage to both my bike and the the other vehicle, and I'd be charged with several offences. Oh well, I suppose I could just put 3 foot apes and a sissy bar on my K0..........
