Side cover emblems
« on: February 11, 2016, 04:40:04 PM »
Anybody know of any company doing reproduction side cover emblems for a 1976 550.  Looks like I might be out of luck, but figured it was worth a try here to see if  I was over looking a possible source.  Thanks in advance guys....

Dunno about repros, and you may have already thought of this, but people will try to sell cracked or broken side covers on Ebay and elsewhere, often with perfectly fine emblems. One way to go about it.

I bought some repro badges for the CBX from these guys, and while they were constructed differently than stock, the quality was very high and to the eye from the front they were indistinguishable from the stock ones I had in hand.

I'll reprise my thread here in a sec, it's useful.

There's also badgereplicas.com.au, but I emailed them about 550F tank badges and got no reply... :(

Sometimes you just have to be patient with ebay and they will show up eventually. I bought a pair in decent shape but had to touch them up a bit. One had the pins broken off but 3M 2-side tape works great.

I bought good repros for CB750 K6 tank (Yamiya) .
Honda original from Andy Cepok did not cost much more than repros: 750 Four on sidecovers. The diamonds Honda when the repros have no HM logo under the wings. Price differ was not that much 2013.
