Found the thing on google quite a while back when I got this crazy-looking bike I had never heard of. The pawn-shop guy told me it was a 1969 honda. He also told me it was pretty much trash and would never run again (in his Harley shirt) ::) I SHOWED HIM!!!! actually I did go back and show him after I got it running  :)  THANKS FOR ALL YA'LLS HELP BTW!!!!

These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

Are you still curious Glenn???  ;D

I was looking for what would be a good bike for me and was interested in Hondas, but had no clue what models were what, so during my searches for what a CB was vs a CL or CBR, CBX, etc I stumbled across the site and because of what a knowledgeable group it is I kept reading, and decided a SOHC4 was for me, then once I got a bike that was more than lawn art I registered.

This site was a big part of my decision to get a SOHC4 and has helped me immensely getting her back together and running in good order.  It's also great inspiration to push me to complete some projects(also SOHC4s(the aforementioned lawn art for one)) I've picked up along the way.

I've crammed alot of info on these bikes into my brain banana in the last year.  Thanks for 99% of it y'all.

Stumbled across it in a Google search for "SOHC4 parts".
Thought it might be a good place to help out, since I had something to offer. And to think I almost threw out all my SOHC4 notes and info about 3 months earlier, thinking no one needed it anymore.   :o
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

Completely by accident.  I finally got round to acquiring my bike licence in the summer of '06, and started searching for a bike.  Initially I was really looking for an early '90s CB750 DOHC (stone him!).  My 550 came up because the seller had put CB400/CB550/CB750 in his title, I clicked on it, thought 'wow that's cool as feck', and bought it on the spot 8)

Afterwards I thought, I'd better find out what these things are, typed 'CB550K Owners clubs' into Google, and here I am ;D

Now 18 months down the line, my 550 is wearing a set of Tomaselli clubmans bars, a Giuliari seat and some BCR pipes, and is in the process of getting a Mike Rieck fettled cylinder head.  I'm as happy with it as I've ever been with any vehicle i've ever owned (and there's 50+ in my back catalogue), and I'd rather sell my cat than my scoot :o

I didn't put wife or kids in that last sentence because they're free to anyone who'll collect ::) ;)

Another stumbler. Came across it while surfing the net for parts. Best thing I've done besides buying the 500 pounder.

When I first went to look at the bike I eventually bought, everything about seemed totally beautiful -- except for a tendency to sputter and die if you grabbed the throttle too hard.  I googled the symptom, and my search eventually led me here, where I found that I was probably expecting a quicker throttle response than I should have been, and that the idle speed might be a little on the slow side (a talk with the amateur mechanic who'd worked on the bike for the PO revealed that he'd set the idle a little low because the PO was a first-time rider and he didn't want the bike to be surge-y and cause the PO to panic).

After I bought the bike I hung around, figuring I could pick up some good information, which has totally been the case.  Although this riding season didn't end up turning out so well as I'd hoped due to a blown alternator and subsequent freakout on my part, I've been looking over past threads and gleaning info, and plan on spending the winter getting the bike back up and running again.  In the meantime, I can drool over pictures of everyone else's bikes and add to my arsenal of Brit/Yank/Aussie/Kiwi jokes.

I was sent by a member of the DOHC forum.  When I started asking CB750 questions, one of them sent me here.  Been here ever since.  ;)

The what? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Your right.  It's not the DOHC forum, but that is how I have remembered it.

I looking at buying a 350 and the seller mentioned this along with some other sites as resources.  I didn't end up getting the 350, but not too long after that a friend sold me his 78 550k and joined shortly thereafter.
