I am sicker than I was a week ago !
Their was a Chicago Ton-Up meeting last night , And the weather was a balmy 55, so I figured I would bundle up and take the CB750 out for it's last ride of the season. It was nice to be back on the scoot tearing up the streets of chicago (forgot how loud my un-baffled 4 into 1 is
). The meeting spot was a bar called Donovan's in the bucktown area of the city (about 45min from my house in the burbs).
I officially became a full fledged member last night (along with my triumph bobber riding bud Danny) of the Chicago Ton-Up club , which is killer ! Great bunch of guys who knows tons about vintage scoots, and bikes in general.
After the "meeting", we took a blast (about 15 riders deep) down lake shore drive to enjoy whats left of the weather. At this point (11pm) the weather started changing, the winds picked up , and the temps dropped about 15 degrees. Long story short, by the time I rode with the guys - then all the way back into the burbs, I was frozen solid (and did about 120 miles)..
Nothing better than shaking at a stoplight (because I was so cold) next to a cop at 2am on a bike with a un-baffled exhaust pointing right at his window !
All in all it was a good time, but I am paying for it today....
