"77/78 models are cool 2" help
« on: February 22, 2016, 05:37:00 pm »
Could someone who bought new handlebars as stock as possible let me know where you found them and what they are style called? PO put 10" ape hanger on the bike and they have to go. Or anyone who still has stock bars give all the measurements.
This is for my 78K 750
Thanks in advance for any & all help.

I have 3 sets. 1 for the K model, 2 for the F. K should clean up, F model are great condition. I ran F model bars on my K and loved them.

What bend is difference is there between the F&K? Every site I go to has bars up the ying yang to many choices. I just don't have a set to go buy to match one on the sites.

I just took a handlebar off a 78 cb750K. It's 7/8" and chrome, with knurled mounting spots, undrilled (except for what appear to be small moisture drain holes). As far as I know, it's stock.

I used the measuring method shown here:
This is what I got:
Overall width: 30"
Width between center bends: 6"
Distance between centers of knurlings: 4"
Inside rise: 6"
Rise at the ends: 8.5"
Pullback: 5"

Somewhere I have pictures of them. I will try to get to it today if possible as I have to root around in the shed anyway.

Had the picture on Photo Bucket. Top bar is the K model, lower bars F.

F bars.
