Low rumbling engines
« on: February 23, 2016, 10:16:38 AM »
Last Saturday was a great spring day, sunny and warm.  I took Red out for 70 miles on 211, love that road - see the picture.  Counted 5 State Troopers in one hour.

Anyway, I passed a gang of bikers on cruisers, I never had a cruiser, never cared for them, but the sound of 30 engines made me happy just passing by.  Some day I may have one, just for the sound  ;)

Get one mate, and by that I mean a Harley, not a "Yama-Harley", they are a brilliant long distance bike, and unlike modern sports bikes, are fun to ride at legal speeds. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I really like Ducati, RC51 and Suzuki v twin sport bike sounds, they are the best.  Except a screaming I-4.
Let's think about a V-4 two stroke GP bike,  oh yeah!
Get what you like!!

Don't buy a bike just for the sound.

Ha ha, if I had a dollar for every time I've been told what "real men" ride, I'd be a rich man! Your Kawa triples are an interesting comparison though Steve, one of the few bikes in the world that Harley's actually handle better than! ;D

Not so sure about that, Terry.  In the tight twisty roads around the Hills here in Cen TX, my little 500 handles quite well. I'd bet quite a few dollars against any poser on one of his big fat Hogs that I could take him in a little run around!

LOL, it was very pleasant on some sub conscious level.  Similar to firing 100 mm cannon  ;)

Ha ha, bring that smoke machine with it's hinged frame over here Steve, and my little Sporty will mop the floor with you! (Not in a straight line of course, it's got less BHP than your 500......) ;D
