The Honda Star 200
« on: November 10, 2006, 01:29:10 PM »
A good friend of mine owns an odd little bike. It is Honda Star 200 twin. This motorcycle is in near immaculate condition! Very cool looking. I  am going to talk him into letting me kick it over and drive it around the block a few times.

Reportedly this model is fairly rare. Is that true?

If it is one of these:

http://www.mcreports.com/Pages/Indivbikes/Honda/CB200.html

it is fairly rare in the US. They were quite common in the UK, being an evolution of the CB160/175 range. Great little bikes.

I can't say I've ever heard of a 'Star' model, though.

I sold my CB200T this summer. It was a very fun bike. It ran great, though the factory pipes were holyer than St. Paul. :D
It was all original and was quite a looker. I sold it in eBay for $850. Low miles too. Not much in power but I was able to get 85mph on a cool nite flat out on the highway. 8)

Dad just acquired one.   Maybe if he ever gets done eating he'll post about it.   Its a 78 I think and called a twinstar.

Stepdaughters boyfriend had CB200, I put some CB100 carbs on it as the stock ones had bad floats and local dealer 'couldnt' get parts.
He moved up to a GS500. (then they fell out so I dont know what happened)
