Connector crimping pliers
« on: March 09, 2016, 04:17:14 AM »
Every so often I buy stuff from banggood, my latest purchase were these pliers.  Took 9 days to come, but they work well and you can't beat the price.

D@mn... That's less than half price of the crimper I bought from vintage connections. However, the kits at VC are really nice to have.

Looks pretty equivalent to the VintageConnection unit. Free shipping from Banggood too. I've used them before. Anyone serious about these bikes needs one in their shop.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

They're an invaluable and essential tool for any old bike owner.

Once you have one of these and compare the crimp to what you got with the "bolt cutter" crimper you used previously - you won't regret the cost.

I have a set of ratcheting crimpers for some very small connectors that I used in RC modeling and if I could source the anvils it would save me buying the entire crimper tool for both uses. Then I could just change out the crimper anvils and have less to pack/store. But, I have not been able to find them. It is readily apparent that they are replaceable, as you can see in one of the photos they are held in place by a philips screw on each side.

Yeah... I think Vintage Connections sells extra die sets for their crimping tool.  But, who knows if they would work in your specific tool.
