Topic: Calipers & Forks

Hi, I realise part of this question has been covered in various places, but there seemed to be some discrepancies. Yes I did do a search before posting 

Does anyone have a list of which calipers and forks are the same or similar?

I read on a different post that the 550 calipers have different hole spacings to the 750, but some 550 K5ish legs I have, have the same casting no as the ones on my K2 750   ( 341 I think? )

I'm interested in doing a dual brake setup for my 750 for a period cafe racer type resto and thought I may be able to use the caliper.

I have a set of "341" casting forks; they came off a CB550, and have the dual mounts. The OEM CB550 fender fits, and so does a single-brace fender from a 750 (don't know what year/model)...

I also have a *long* fork lower, which is a single disk setup, and has the same caliper/fender mounts as the stock CB500/550, but is about 1 1/2" longer between the mounts and the dust seal/wiper...I don't know what this one is from (eBay purchase)...

I also have a CB750 front disk; it is ~3/4" bigger than a CB550 front disk, but will bolt up to the same wheel.

The 1972ish  CB450 forks will slot right into the CB750 trees. They can be serviced where the CB750 forrks must be tossed when worn. I am no Guru on the valving for the shock damping but they seem ok.
