Ideas to support exhaust pipes?
« on: March 19, 2016, 12:30:48 PM »
I am looking for opinions to attatch my 4 into 4 exhaust to my frame because I am scratching my head with this one. Any constructive ideas are appreciated. I will attach a couple photos. Thanks

Since there wrapped anyhow.....weld studs to the frame sides of the pipes, fab a bracket similar to the factory one and bolt to the factory position.

I've used a T bolt clamp on the pipe and made a strap to put the threaded end of the t bolt through.

This is a t-bolt clamp:

When you tighten it there will be some more threaded bit left over. Weld/clamp some metal strapping from your frame with a hole in the end of it to line up with this extra threaded bit. Pop it through the hole, and put another nut and washer on the other side. Boom. Bracketed!
