Very cool. I remember those cars, there were lots of them in the Chicago area when I was in high school.

I am fairly certain I saw that car at a car show when I was stationed at Eglin AFB.  There was a lot of hoopla about it as being Honda's introduction to the world of autos.  My recollection is that is was quite crudely built-sure have come a long way.

that is what I remember-the motor was very similar to a 450 twin.  My vague memory is it was like two 450 motors

Honda also made a small car that was popular in the Chicago area, which had a 4-cylinder engine that was (I think) 700cc, and could turn 9K RPM. We called them the "Honda Skate" because they were so small. There were lots of these in Colorado when I first moved here in 1974, too. Skiers liked them in those days. ;)

There was one for a while in Sierra Vista AZ that was a N600 if I recall correctly. Did they make a N800?  It may have been that... I don't know if I still have the few photos I snapped of it at an eclectic used car dealer there.

The website said that this car was from 1969 and was the first Honda imported to the US. Didn't you guys get the S600 sport which was Honda's first mass marketed car from 1964?

I replaced an alternator stator on one of these for a guy I worked with.  It was bolted to the engine crankcase, a la typical motorcycle construction.  I can’t remember why but it seemed easier to remove the engine from the car to perform this repair which could be done easily enough by unbolting eveyrthing and lifting it out (without the aid of an engine hoist) over the front grill.  I recall thinking at the time “this thing looks a lot like a CB450 engine”.

Do you remember if the final drive was chain driven?   I have that vague memory

I remember hearing about chain drive on them .
I think the 800 series where based on the 754 engine...I think there was a display motor shown at some bike shows around 1969 os maybe 1968.
