I replaced an alternator stator on one of these for a guy I worked with. It was bolted to the engine crankcase, a la typical motorcycle construction. I can’t remember why but it seemed easier to remove the engine from the car to perform this repair which could be done easily enough by unbolting eveyrthing and lifting it out (without the aid of an engine hoist) over the front grill. I recall thinking at the time “this thing looks a lot like a CB450 engine”.
