If that was on the tank I would of kept it for my "garage art" collection.
The tank ( I come to find out last night) has yet to be painted, so if anyone wants to
purchase this "relic" of pop culture, shoot my buddy Chris an email at Btltgr1@comcast.net

STARSHIP BIKE UPDATE 3/23/07

- The "Starship" bike is done and back on the road after a pretty much complete rebuild.
The entire bike got lowered (short shocks out back and 2'' shorter fork tubes from Cycle-X up front). Powdercoated parts everywhere, black wheels with stainless spokes and Avon whitewalls, fresh paint, Gularri seat (wonder where he got that idea ;)), brand new mini gauges, chrome drag bars, side mount plate, etc..

- We got the bike running last night and took it for it's maiden voyage as a cool cruiser and not some 70's rolling embarrassment (as it was before). Some carb work is def. needed, but for sitting in the garage all winter it ran great it's first time out.

From this --->

To it's current state --->

Still waiting on Chris to forward me some pics of the finished bike.
The bike was done for about three days before it decided to spin a bearing when we were about
to take it for it's maiden voyage yesterday. As far as I am aware the old motor is allready out of the frame, and he plans to be up and running soon...

STARSHIP BIKE UPDATE 3/30/07

After a week of thrashing and allocating the "Starship" bike is back on the road and moving under it's own power. My buddy Chris found a low milage motor earlier this week, and we got it back up and running last night. He also got this wicked 4 into 1 exhaust from the same guy with the motor (think it is a kerker), that is in really good shape. I am telling him to pull the baffle outta the #$%* but we shall see what he ends up doing. He is just happy to have the thing back up and running again after a long winter's build.

We took the bike for a spin last night and it seems tight. Still needs the carbs to be gone thru and have a good tune put into it, but for just getting done runs good..
I promise to get some pics from him soon and post them up... ;D

I love those whitewalls!

And I usually don't like whitewalls on a bike  ;D

No rearsets, though?

Don't give me any credit, My buddy (and owner of the bike) Chris did all the work on this scoot.
If anything my CB750 was the inspiration for him to build one ;D. And as far as Rearsetsgo, with the riding position on this bike the stock controls are fine..

Curious about the bars...what are they and where did Chris get them? Does the m/c interfere with the tach? hard to see in the pics....

thanks

He said the got the bars from Parts -n- more.
The master is pushed as far as possible next to the tach.
It is a tight fit but it works. I am fan of tighter/shorter bars but thats just me.
I rode this bike last night, and it has a much more relaxed/cruiser feel to it then my bike does, which is exactly what my buddy was/is after...

Other nifty parts on this ride are:
-2'' shorter than stock fork tubes & cross-drilled rotor from Cycle-X
- Mini tach and speedo from CRC2
- Powdercoated black wheels & stainless spokes with Avon Venom tires
