New guy from michigan.
« on: March 23, 2016, 11:18:48 AM »

Hey all! Names Neil.

A few weeks ago, I saw a 1973 cb750 four posted on Facebook. So I decided to pick it up. Wasn't sure if it was worth the $100 I paid or not, but I was mostly all there. Missing stock seat, stock carbs ( has k0 carbs)

I've been having fun tearing it down and working on the tank and I pulled the carbs last week to rebuild them.

Here's a few pictures of the new bike.

I'm interested in what people think about the price paid and condition of the bike.

From what I can tell currently. Needs maybe one replacement carb due to a trashed throttle body cap thread, new throttle cables. Tires and other things like that. My plan is to get it running and then rebuild fully to my liking restomod.

Thanks!

For 100 bucks?  I'd say that's a deal.

It's a great buy for $100, but looking at how it was stored with velocity stacks, I'm curious if the motor is seized too? Either way, title for $100 is a great start.

Motor isn't seized. It kicks over just fine. When I was removing the throttle, the two carbs on the pass side came apart no problem. The two on the driver side are a mess from the gas pooling there while on the stand.
