Help ID this old 16" rim
« on: March 26, 2016, 03:11:50 PM »
Just looking for quick input on this 16" rim. I know people used to swap harley wheels of this size on to chopper bikes. Assuming that's what this is. I'm inclined to just keep the late 550 hub and just scrap the rim, or give it away on here for free. Looking for input. Thanks!

Looks like a typical 16" incher from back in the day and that sure is one dirty part.  Should be some chrome under there somewhere   :D

The spokes might be stainless, if they are they may unscrew someone might want a set. If not, bolt cutters work quickly. I had a nice one but it was on a two hold hub, I removed it and re-assembled with a drag slick on a 4 hole hub.
It's a typical hog rim. I had one that said made in England, I thought that was odd.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
