88 degrees today, too hot too early for me.

Half way through Autumn here and still averaging around 88 to 90F, and humid, I'm over it..... :o

So, even though I havent done an update, work has been going on.

If you recall, the frame was sent out for powder, the engine got a "bubble bath" in the mean time. I prefer Gunk Foamy Engine cleaner...

There has been a lot of part evaluating and ordering, "presents" have been arriving almost daily! [luckily, I get home before the wifey!]
Last Thurs was a particularly good day!




Here are some of the parts that I ordered: rims, ss spokes, tires, tubes, gaskets, exhaust, clamps, axle blanks, grips, etc

Picked up the frame from my powder guy today, I'd say $80 is a sweet deal to get it blasted and painted!

Still looking for a swing arm or will be forced to use this ^^^ monstrosity in the meantime!

I thought weight may be the concern, I've see a few old arms braced like that though, put it aside for a "sweep the floor" bike... ;)

All depends on the motor, Bud.  I don't plan on any (mechanical) upgrades during Phase 1 of this restore.  You took yours all the way down.

Yeah, we can't get a break.  This is the third time we've had the weather mess up our plans.  Unless there's a dramatic change in the forecast we're not going to make it.  We're still hoping and will call it on Thursday evening.

Hi Steve, I have the rubbers in stock, price for the pegs rubber are 10 US Dollars, 5 USD for gear lever.
Freigh by post in an envelope are 10 USD.All will be 25 USD.

If it's a known guy, it's probably ok.  I'd send the cash and see what happens.  $25 is low risk. I don't think I'd do the bank thing, tho.

A bank wire transfer is completely safe and probably safer than paying online. The recipient doesn't get your info, only your bank gets his account info to send money to. There's no authorization for reversal.

Correct... Just some outgoing wire fees. Typically incoming wire fees for the recipient as well. Not very economical for a small transaction like this.
