OK, enough word play...

Seriously, Imelda Marcos has little on SteveO's wife, or at least that's her aspirations to one day equal that collection.

Nor is she even qualified to "address" him, or undress him, or redress him, or suppress him, but she can transgress his digressions from motorcycling. (A little wardrobe humor for you  ;) )

That guy was a , correction is a poser. Enough crap about him...

Imelda had over 3000 pairs and left 1200 when she and hubby left the Phillipeans. She was also a clothes horse and left behind a lot of gowns and dresses. The palace was near a river and quite humid and the storage wasn't ideal and humidity and termites, yes termites, were feasting on the shoes. After this was discovered several years after their departure the termites and mold were destroying the remaining shoes and clothes left by both. They sorted out and destroyed the damaged stuff and sent the rest in boxes to a museum that was chronicling the island's history. It was not realized what they had and it was stuck in a storage area and they only uncovered it and realized what it was after a tropical storm/cyclone had damaged the roof over the storage area and when opening the boxes they discovered it was boxes and boxes of high end shoes, clothes of both, etc. They were significant in the history of the former deposed leader and his wife showing the excess characteristic of that regime which was overthrown.
They had collected 800 of the shoes shortly after the overthrow to display at the museum, they are in an ac controlled room on display that protects them. They have lots of vistors every day both by Phillipinos and others visiting the museum marvelling at the collection.
It was amazing the oppulensce ?spelling?  that they lived in while everyone else lived in poverty.

Oddly enough after her husbands death she was allowed to return and served as an elected representative in the House of Representatives.

Bike is really looking good Steve. Hope the paint work and other pieces come out like you want.

Funny enough, most of her shoes didn't even fit.
Every shoe maker knew of her "tastes" and started sending shoes and clothes, hoping to get her to wear them in public.  She bought a lot of stuff, but a lot was also just given to her for promotional reasons.

NAPA here in my town had.....orange. When I asked why no other colors the guy behind the counter with the camo hat with the overly bent bill said, "Why? Cuz Merica son." I told him I was working on a Japanese motorcycle. He just spit in a bottle.

The Autozone located on the other side of town which I can walk to in 5 minutes, however, had every color in the VHT catalog.
