So, Stev-o...if you're able to meet us next week, I'll let you ride my rented Harley if you let me take that beauty out for a spin!  ;)
I would even bring you a bottle of the Ole Smokey Salted Caramel Whiskey as a present.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the look of that bike with the fairing on it.

Ron

I can vouch for the Ole Smokey Salted Caramel Whiskey.  It a tasty dessert in a glass.

I dig it! (Not that you probably care much...)

If I may, I think it look outstanding if that number were thinly pinstriped in metallic silver to complement the fairing color. It will really set off the red and black very handsomely.

That sucks.  Oh well...just leave the keys to the bike somewhere I can find them and I'll clean it up when I'm done thrashing...err, riding it!

Seriously though, thanks for all the tips.  Looking forward to the trip, even if the 10 day forecast is currently calling for rain most of the time we're there.

It's just a cheap vinyl "sticker" that I popped on there without giving much thought.  Although your idea would prolly look good, doubt I will bother doing anything permanent. Nice thing about vinyl is it can usually be taken off without damage if you change your mind.

The key is in it, so help yourself!! [full choke, no throttle for cold start]

Dont believe the forecast, if you dont like Texas weather, wait 30 min as it will change!

Love this bike Steve-O.

Thanks...means a lot coming from you.

Wow great job! Love the fairing!! How much wind protection does it provide? Any idea what it is?

Thanks Andy.   Does not provide much wind protection! But that's a good thing in Texas, big fairings keep the air off you and make riding hot [under 50 degree ambient air temp]
I believe the fairing to be an actual Dunstall or a very good replica.

Thanks Steve.

Well you could say that, the wheel was on backwards! Cant recall what happen to that old wheel [trash?] but it was replaced with a new D.I.D rim, stainless spokes and a polished hub.

I need to roll it out of the garage, it's been in there too long.

Didn't get to stay more than a day on the Texas ride back in April, unfortunately.  As I stood at the desk after having rented the bike, I received a call that my wife's uncle had died and I had to cut the trip short to fly home and serve as pallbearer.

We had just enough time to run the Twisted Sisters/Three Sisters route from San Antonio on one day and then I rode back to Austin on the next day to turn in the bike and fly home.

Hey Guys....quick update on the Park Racer.

It's been a while since I rode 'er, I had borrowed the battery for my K4 so ordered a new Scorpion for 'er last week.  Dropped it in yesterday and cranked it up, she roared to life after about a min.  I was happy with that since it's been at least 3 months since she last run.  Let 'er warm up for a few minutes and then took 'er out for a quick spin, all is good and I still love this bike.
